Gateway set-up
While a lot of people look like they are serious about this, it's still a huge leap in terms of continued involvement and trust from a lot of parties, and we wont actually know how successful anything will be until the moment people arrive.
I'd propose a 'test' residence to get an idea of how this will actually play out socially before cashing in for the big abode. Say, rent out a hotel or trailer park near the final proposed site and live there for a significant period to see if the community actually gels. There's a good chance everything could fall apart and people would be at each others throats once the migration happens, and by that point it would be difficult to cut and run in terms of investments into the project if we go direct.
I'm trying not to make it sound like a nerd monastary, but people won't just be popping over for a weekend every now and then when they live in another state or even country, it's likely to be a semi-perminent endevour.
Though, anything at all is still realistically years away.

Re: Gateway set-up
This idea started yesterday and it's a multi-million dollar project.
Suffice to say it's a ways away to actual practicality. But a lot of people seem very interested, and as long as we can keep interest going, we should be good.

But I've almost decided on the drapes... bleached bone or goblin green...

I find a layer of khemri brown with a highlight of bleached bone and skull white works really well.
Maybe Devlan Mud wash. That stuff is magic.

Oh, I'd have to have a chaos black undercoat to keep the sunlight out of the bunke... oh... facepalm.jpg
I wonder how many fa/tg/uys smoke indoors?
I do love discussing the finer points of distant fantasies.
