So, people are okay with having all different genres of mad science present within the Silo?

I'm learning to do physics. Mad physics. I was sort of disappointed that the nuclear power solution was a stupid idea, but it was a stupid idea.

Well, nuclear power... Isn't really my thing. I'll leave it to you physicists.

We need to make sure that all branches of mad science are represented. So we still need a mad chemist, a mad engineer, a mad geologist and a mad psychologist. Probably some other branches that I forgot about too.

Sounds good. We should never pass up the chance to fall to our knees with our fists raised at the ceiling (sky?) while yelling, "What has science done?!". lol

Physics in the mad science department sounds good, but i swear, if a portal opens up and i get smacked with a companion cube, there will be war. lol

Oh yeah, we totally forgot to add an AI control system to the planned facilities for the silo. We can probably build it in the room directly above the tanks of deadly neurotoxin. I doubt that will cause any problems.

The whole "mad science" thing on this board is completely ridiculous. Scientific research and genetic engineering are both really hard, not the sort of thing you'd do just because it's awesome.

Are there any good DMs out there?

I tend to agree.

This is Dorf Fort, not SS13. Unless we have actual geneticists in the audience, it's probably best to focus on believable things instead of seeing how much we can sin against nature.

For the record, I'm a Transhumanist, so if we DO have real geneticists on board, Semper Fi. I would also support adding an entire Augmented Reality section to the place to bring LARP to a whole new level.

I know a site that sells them by the pound, at about 28 cents per die.

We could probably just get people to bring a their own sets and we'd have enough for the next ice age.

First year molecular biology student but I'm not going to try to make Greasels or Super Mutants for you guys because that would cost millions of dollars and take decades.

keep in mind everyone, that we need at leat 1 operational silo for the Moon/Mars evacuation rockets, just in case of an asteroid, zombie outbreak, zerg rush, furry invasion etc.

I for one was kidding about the mad science, which is why this is off-topic, and not on-topic. However, if people do actually want space for non-illegal experiments, that'd be fine by me.

For that augmented reality idea, I'm *planning* to become a theoretical physicist and perhaps do mechanical engineering on the side as well. I would not mind making crazy things

If we have in-silo AR, I'm in favor of week-plus long games of Humans vs. Zombies in the halls. Lord knows what AR would do to that game, but it's a safe bet it would be awesome.
